These numbers are massive, and they indicate just how much money they’re making.
Using Social Blade to estimate their earnings, you can see they’re earning anywhere from $93,000 to $1.5 million a year. But from my own experience, I know that they’re making a lot more than this. For comparison, if you check my own YouTube analytics, you’ll see that in the last 28 days, I made $29,000. Social Blade estimates I make between $633 and $110,000 a month, but I actually make three times that. So, the chances are that the lowii channel is also making much more than what Social Blade estimates.
Let’s talk about daily earnings. They make anywhere from $3,300 to $10,300 a day just from ad revenue. And again, this is likely a conservative estimate. They are probably making a lot more, but we'll use this as a baseline. This is a real income, not a joke. All they do on their channel is post basic lo-fi videos. They take an image of a girl studying in her room, add some relaxing background music, and create long videos. That’s it!
Some people have commented on my videos saying you can’t monetize these types of channels, but I’m here to prove them wrong. If you check their channel, you’ll see ads running on the videos. That’s because they are monetizing through the YouTube Partner Program, which requires you to meet certain criteria like having at least 1,000 subscribers, 4,000 watch hours, and following community guidelines. You don’t need to break any rules or repost other people’s content to monetize your videos.
In addition to ads, the lowii channel is also monetizing through selling products and affiliate links. When you click on their “Products” section, you'll see they’re selling merchandise for $59.90. They’re also monetizing through affiliate links in the description of their videos, like limited edition products. This is how they maximize their revenue.
Now, you might be wondering: how do you get 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours? The answer is simpler than you think. All you need is one good video. People leave these types of videos running in the background while studying, meaning they accumulate a lot of watch time. Just like me—my channel has gained 166,000 watch hours in the past 28 days! That’s more than enough to get monetized.
You can also monetize your channel through merch, digital products, and affiliate marketing. Once you have your first few sales, you’ll have enough to pay for tools like paid music tracks, and then you can start earning from ads as well.
